22 July 2026, Edinburgh — Earth Blox, the UK’s leading climate and nature analytics company, today announced a strategic expansion of its leadership team to accelerate its transition into a global category leader. Following a successful funding round from Archangels and PxN group, alongside significant strategic non-dilutive finance from the European Space Agency and Innovate UK, the company is expanding its C-suite to support both long-term innovation and immediate commercial scaling.
Dr. Genevieve Patenaude, the founder and driving force behind Earth Blox’s rise is stepping into the role of Executive Director, Founder & Visionary. This move allows Dr. Patenaude to step away from day-to-day operational mechanics to focus exclusively on high-level strategic, visionary direction and global thought leadership.
In this capacity, she will spearhead a pivotal shift in Earth Blox’s market engagement as the firm expands from its pure sustainability origins toward a business and risk focused approach to nature and climate.
To maintain the company’s high momentum, Earth Blox has appointed experienced technology executive Iain McCready as Chief Executive Officer. McCready has built and scaled software companies through rapid growth, international expansion and successful exits. Most recently Chairman and Chief Operating Officer of Quorum Cyber, he previously led AI and computer vision company Cortexica Vision Systems through its acquisition by Zebra Technologies and earlier helped grow Kingston SCL from around 50 employees to more than 1,000, making it one of Scotland's largest software companies.
