Guillaume Attard is a geoscientist and environmental data specialist with expertise in Earth observation, geospatial analytics, climate risk, and environmental modelling.
He is VP of Science & Technical Solutions at Earth Blox, where he works across science, product, and customer teams to transform environmental data into decision-ready tools for organisations navigating climate- and nature-related challenges. His work focuses on bridging the gap between scientific methodologies and practical applications, ensuring organisations can use environmental intelligence to better understand risk, resilience, and opportunity.
Prior to joining Earth Blox, Guillaume worked across academia, consulting, and industry, applying geospatial data science and environmental modelling to challenges in water resources, climate adaptation, natural hazard risk, and sustainable resource management. His experience includes developing risk models for the reinsurance sector, advising public authorities on groundwater management and climate resilience, and supporting organisations seeking to make better use of environmental data in planning and decision-making.
Guillaume holds a Doctorate in Environmental Science from Université Claude Bernard Lyon and an Engineering degree from the École Nationale des Travaux Publics de l'État (ENTPE) in France. His academic research focused on water resources, and environmental modelling, resulting in numerous peer-reviewed publications and significant contributions to the understanding of urban groundwater management and climate adaptation.
His research has been widely cited internationally, with publications covering topics including geothermal potential in cities, groundwater resource management, climate adaptation, environmental modelling, and sustainable urban development.
Alongside his academic and consulting work, Guillaume has been recognised as a Google Earth Engine Developer Expert from 2022 to 2026, reflecting his expertise in applying planetary-scale geospatial technologies to environmental challenges. He has also collaborated with institutions, including Goethe University Frankfurt, to improve access to climate information and make environmental data more actionable for decision-makers.
At Earth Blox, Guillaume helps shape the scientific and technical foundations of the platform, ensuring that advances in Earth observation, environmental modelling, and climate science are translated into practical solutions that organisations can use to manage risk, improve resilience, and make informed decisions.
