This notice explains how Earth Blox uses your personal data when you register for or attend one of our webinars, including webinars we run with partners. It supplements our main privacy policy. The webinars it covers, and the partners involved in each, are listed in section 10.
1. Who we are
Earth Blox is the trading name of Quosient Ltd, 5 South Gyle Crescent Lane, Edinburgh, EH12 9EG, United Kingdom (company number SC644175). We run each webinar on our own Zoom account and are the data controller for your registration data. For any question or request about your data, email dpo@earthblox.io.
2. What we collect
- Registration details: name, work email, organisation, country, and job title if you give it.
- Attendance: whether you attended, and how long you stayed.
- Session data: questions you submit in the Q&A, and your poll responses.
- Your marketing choice: whether you ticked the Earth Blox marketing box, with the date and wording shown.
- Technical data that Zoom collects to run the session, as described in Zoom's own privacy statement.
3. How we use it and why
1. Register you and run the webinar: joining links, reminders and the session itself: Legitimate interests in delivering the event you signed up for.
2. Give you access to the recording, which we publish on our website behind a Zoom registration: Legitimate interests.
3. Share your registration, attendance, Q&A and poll data with the event partners listed in section 10 (see section 4): Legitimate interests in running co-presented events and responding to the audience.
4. Send you one follow-up email with the recording, resources and relevant next steps: Legitimate interests.
5. Contact you once, individually, about the webinar's topic, either from Earth Blox or from a partner named in section 10 as able to contact you: Legitimate interests. Only where the law in your country allows it without consent.
6. Send you news, insights and event invitations: Your consent, given by ticking the Earth Blox box.
We don't sell your data, make automated decisions about you, or use your data to build profiles.
4. Who we share it with
- Event partners. Organisations that co-host or present a webinar receive your registration, attendance, Q&A and poll data shortly after the event. They receive it through a secure folder with access restricted to named individuals. Each partner becomes responsible for its own copy as an independent controller, and handles it under its own privacy notice, linked in section 10. A data sharing agreement limits how each partner may use the data. Only partners marked in section 10 may contact you, and only once, individually, about the webinar's topic. No partner may add you to a mailing list.
- Our service providers, who process data on our instructions: Zoom (webinar platform), HubSpot (CRM and email), and the providers listed in our main privacy policy.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
5. International transfers
Some event partners and service providers are outside the UK. Where we share data with them, we rely on one of the following:
- UK adequacy regulations (for example, for Canadian organisations covered by PIPEDA);
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement; or
- the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep it
Earth Blox: 2 years from your last engagement with us (registering, attending, opening an email or replying). After that we delete or anonymise your data, unless you have opted in to hear from us or you have an ongoing relationship with us.
Event partners: They delete their copy within 6 months of the webinar, unless you have since dealt with them directly.
Unsubscribe and opt-out records: Kept for as long as needed so we don't contact you again.
7. Your rights, and how to opt out everywhere
You can ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, or restrict its use. You can object to our use of it, and withdraw any consent you've given.
One request covers all organisations. Email dpo@earthblox.io, or use the unsubscribe link in any of our emails. We pass your request to every event partner that received your data within 72 hours, and each acts on it within 10 working days. You can also contact a partner directly using its privacy notice.
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint). If you're in the EU or EEA, you can also complain to the data protection authority in your country.

We update this notice when we add a webinar or change how we handle data. The date at the top shows the latest version.
